Actions speak louder
than words, no excuses.  Just
shut up and love me.

Shall we reconsider,
wear our hearts on our sleeves
before we pursue
all that hinders our dreams?

Drain me of inspiration
perspire me of dedications.
Make me so weak that
even words began to cease,
lose meaning, until my poetry’s deceased.
Only then, could I fully love you—
When my mind is at peace.

As these, murmurs turn to whispers,
turn to conversations with myself
I tend to linger on these thoughts
until it breaks my mental health.

Disturbs my peace of mind until
I can’t find the piece of self
that once led blindly to the light
only silence could have felt.

You make me feel, impetuous,
prejudice to the smile
that only puckered lips
could seal butterflies in,
these fluttered feelings pry,
kisses that could never justify
what it is you truly do to me.
To the point where,
only impassioned actions
could capture these attractions
mastered by the way you say my name.
As if all eight letters rolled the same
syllables as the heart beat in my veins,
I am insane for you.
Deranged in my point of view,
that when I picture you
cupid points arrows at distractions
of abstract art
given subtraction for the parts
that bows could never cover,
lover, I am in awe of you.

Don’t push me,
tempt me back into my old ways
rearranging fate to the point of my own blade.
I’ll decapitate thoughts til your fade shows nada,
razor burns phase hotta,
than these heart burns outta blaze.

project problems
